The table below is a summary of information taken from the January 1, 2005 Environmental Building News and highlights some of the key environmental impacts of selected insulation types.

Different types of insulation have different R-Values.  Each manufacturer publishes the R-value for their product, so check the product label or the packaging for product specific information.  We have included a range of R-values for each product to provide you with a relative comparison of the various insulations.
